Math

- Students explored real life applications of linear equations

- Discovered the components of linear equations (constant and multiplier) and how they impact pattern the rate of pattern growth

- It was our first history lesson and students explored a snapshot of Canadian history over 400 years

- Students demonstrated their prior knowledge of Canadian history

- Continued the learning around Black history in Canada by exploring Africville

- Grade 8's conducted a water filtration experiment by using several materials such as water bottles, charcoal, coffee filters, sand and cotton balls

- Grade 7's tested their thermoses from last class to observe which one was the better insulator
