* Students are STRONGLY encouraged to visit their nearest library and sign out the appropriate book(s) for their biography unit research. We will also visit our school library; however, resources are limited

- Continued exploring proportions using the relationship between decimals, fractions and percentages through partnered tasks

- Continued our class novel Born A Crime by Trevor Noah

- Discussed the differences between explicit and implicit messages and made connections to the text


Independent Tasks

- Visit town library for books (biography tasks)

- 20 minutes of silent reading 


Health

- Introduced our healthy eating culminating task 

- Students will create a recipe book that synthesizes all the concepts they learned throughout the unit (they are encouraged to reflect on how their recipes promote healthy brain function and positive mental health)
