- Introduction to our measurement unit through independent reading and an inquiry task where students estimated the perimeter and area of various elements in the classroom (ex. whiteboard, windows etc...)

- Students were given their assigned communities that they will be researching over the next few periods. The goal is the learn about the history of these communities within Canada along with their contributions
