 Announcements:

*OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS

- If you have not returned your overdue library book, please ensure you bring it to school on Monday 

*GRAD INFO: 

- A grad information letter was sent home last week. Please read, sign and return as soon as possible

Grade 8's please complete the dessert survey on Mr. Carr's google classroom ASAP (click for direct access)

- Purple grad tickets were distributed last week

*Sexual Health and Development letters were sent home. Please read, sign and return only if you are exempting your child from the lessons. (CLICK for direct access)

*REMINDER: Phone usage is not permitted in the classroom or during school hours. Over the past few weeks we've seen an increase in phone usage. Please note, it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day.

- Students wrote their math assessment today

Independent Tasks

- All tasks were completed in class


Literacy

- Worked on their Monologue task for drama 

- Grade 8's started their end-of-year video with the other grade 8 classes. They also had a joint health lesson 

- Grade 7's had their first health lesson on Human Development and Sexual Health. We discussed the changes that occur during puberty and how they affect relationships 

Independent Tasks

Science

- Groups continued researching and brainstorming ideas for their city

- Students are encouraged to have a completed blueprint by tomorrow
